R+K9 is proud to offer in-home general training and behavior modification.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENERAL TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION?

General training teaches your dog to perform specific cued behaviors, while behavior modification addresses your dog’s reaction to a particular person, place, or thing. Although behavior modification may include training obedience cues like Stay, Go to Place, etc., these behaviors are meant to build self-control, manage situations, and engage thinking.

WHICH ONE DOES MY DOG NEED?

If you'd like to train your dog to perform cues like Stay, Come, Heel, etc., then general training will help you reach your goals. Behavior modification addresses issues like fearfulness or aggression. R+K9 can help whether your dog needs general training, behavior modification, or both!

WILL YOU COME TO MY HOUSE?

Yes! Our trainer or behavior consultant will come to your house to work with you and your dog. At our trainer's discretion, sessions may also take place in a nearby park, shopping center, etc. Our service area includes the greater Winchester, Virginia area.

Jill Freifeld and Connie Moss are both skilled trainers with extensive behavior modification experience, but they've each chosen to pursue their passions: Jill shares her behavior consulting background to help clients solve their dogs' behavioral issues, while Connie is committed to using her sport and pet training experience to assist clients with their general dog training needs.
