Bring your dog to play with other friendly dogs in a safe group environment supervised by a Certified Behavior Consultant-Knowledge Assessed. While your dog plays, you'll learn about body language, how to keep your dog safe during interactions, how and when to interrupt, common play styles, and warning signs to watch for.
Our supervised play groups are divided by size, rather than by age. Puppies often don't understand the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behavior and are prone to mimic other puppies, which means they could end up with some rude social habits. Socially appropriate adult dogs can help puppies learn the proper rules of engagement.
Play group sessions are 45 minutes and meet on Saturdays. Small and large dog play groups meet on alternate weeks: Dogs weighing less than 40 pounds meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month and dogs 40 pounds and more meet the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
All play group attendees must have an initial 15-minute consultation to ensure play group is appropriate for them. Play group is not for dogs who are aggressive or fearful with other dogs.
