Join our fun, friendly, professional classes where you and your dog can learn skills together. Each class has been curated to produce the best possible results for a wide range of students and their dogs. We use fun games updated with the latest ideas and techniques in dog training. Each class is offered in our large air-conditioned/heated indoor training room, equipped with high quality agility flooring.
Our Instructors attend continuing education in dog training and behavior and have versatile training backgrounds. Some of them coming from the sports world, pet training, behavior modification, service dogs, and military dogs. All of them offering positive reinforcement based training for the classes they are instructing.

Walking without tension on a leash is not a natural behavior for dogs, in fact it is one of the hardest things for them to learn. Recall Revolution 2

Ready to take your dog's recall to the next level? Recall Revolution 2 builds upon the foundation established in Recall Revolution 1, tackling the real-world challenges that can make a reliable recall seem impossible. We'll introduce distractions, practice in varied environments both inside and outside our facility (so dress accordingly!), and refine your techniques. Are you ready to learn how you can call your dog off from chasing a squirrel up a tree? We are almost there!

PREREQUISITE: POLITE POOCH OR OTHER BASIC OBEDIENCE CLASS: Time to put your dog's skills to the test! Obedience Games is the perfect next step for graduates of any beginner obedience class (or equivalent). This class takes the foundation you've already built and reinforces it through exciting games and engaging activities. We'll transform drills into delightful challenges, ensuring your dog stays motivated while loose leash walking, polite greetings, and more. Get ready to strengthen your bond and have a blast as you and your canine companion level up your training in a fun, supportive environment.

If your dog barks and lunges at other dogs, this could be the class for both of you. This is appropriate for dogs with mild to moderate reactivity toward other dogs. You will both learn important management skills and begin the process of counter-conditioning to help change the way your dog feels about other dogs. We also practice a few games designed to help your dog learn better coping strategies when seeing other dogs.

Stop your dog from jumping, counter surfing, and bolting out the door. Learn effective techniques to teach your dog proper manners and help you communicate effectively. For dogs who need more time to learn these behaviors, we will cover simple management strategies to use while you are both in the process of training so you can prevent bad behavior while training new ones.

Our mantrailing club is truly the best way to have fun with your dog while both getting lots of exercise. We lay a trail for your dog to follow primarily using their nose, however, in mantrailing dogs can use all of their senses. At the end of a trail is a person, treats, or a toy for your dog! This club is appropriate for both beginners and experienced students and their dogs. This Club meets two Saturdays a month. Locations are listed under start dates.

Is your dog all about smelling things? Learn all about scent work and how to teach your dog to use their nose to find a target odor. With your instructor's guidance, you and your dog will work through all the elements of a good scent work search. Including search with distance from handler, puzzles, thresholds, vehicles, containers, and so much more. You choose the odor you want to use. Excellent for both competition students and pet owners who want to have fun with their dogs. No experience needed!

Cooperative care is a technique to use for grooming and vet visits. It teaches a dog how to consent for handling and procedures, how to ask for a break and then to consent again. We will coach you and your dog on accepting various options for nail trims, brushing, all basic vet procedures such as receiving injections, pills, prolonged touch or restraint including the muzzle. Our goal is to set you both up for smoother visits with both the vet and groomer, professionally or at home.

Unleash your inner dog training geek! Shaping Club is all about the fun and fascinating world of shaping – a positive reinforcement training method that empowers your dog to "think" their way to new behaviors. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun! We'll start with some simple behaviors like down, then build them up to more complex ones, such as relaxing under a table while eating a meal. We will even add in some handler's choice tricks and skills as we get more advanced. Join us to discover the power of shaping and unlock your dog's full potential!

PREREQUISITE: DOGS MUST BE ON ODOR Open to ALL scent work teams both R+K9 students and anyone else who wants to work on various searches or elements. This open time is appropriate for beginner through advanced teams. Bring your odor and let the instructor know what you would like to work on or work existing set-ups! The instructor will set up requested searches and instruct or coach if needed. Interiors, containers, exteriors, vehicles are all available. Student teams can have as many turns as time allows.
